Overload protection for system control centres


Switching stations in industrial firms, power stations, urban railways, airports, traffic control systems, emergency services – in our modern industrial society, countless large plants and systems are controlled centrally by electrotechnical equipment and control rooms. These systems are securely housed in switchrooms.

The requirements they face in terms of operation and safety regulations are exacting. During operation, the switching stations emit a great deal of heat. If it gets too hot or too damp, they can malfunction.

Precision air-conditioning systems keep temperature humidity constant to within a degree. In control rooms, they ensure that sensitive electrical equipment remains operational, and keep the risk of total failure due to short circuits or electrical fires – with all the consequences that would entail – to a minimum.
